Internship at the Datalab
At this moment, there are three interns working on a project at the Datalab. All three are students of the Master Business Analytics at the VU. The Business Analytics Master’s program deepens the knowledge of data science, big data, statistics and machine learning. This internship is a six-month period in which the students individually work on a project, supported by one of the members of the Datalab.
The goal of Wilte’s project is to create the optimal delivery routes for Trunkrs. Trunkrs is a same day delivery service. In the construction of the optimal delivery routes different constraints need to be considered, which makes this a challenging internship.
The goal of Robin’s project is to create an image recognition model to detect damages on cars at Pon Logistics. If the damage is detected automatically, this can be helpful for the import process and will make sure small damages are not overseen.
The goal of Ellen’s project is to find the optimal placement of the Greenwheels cars. Greenwheels want to expand to new locations and with the combinations of internal and external data the potential of each area is computed.
All three will finish their internship at the end of July.
